Life was simple. Eat, drink, be merry. Work out, sweat, make lean muscles, kick the holo-generated adversary around the room, sweat some more. Oh, and never forget, after hours, dance, sing, and remember that what goes on in her quarters, stays in her quarters.
She groaned as the weights increased, and she grit her teeth together, pushing herself harder. Sweat pooled at her temples and at her sternum, running down her belly. And at her spine behind her neck, spreading in a damp heat.
The set finished and she rolled off the bench to the floor with a gasp. Panting, she lay there staring at the ceiling.
Rolling to a sitting position, her abs contracting nicely, she nodded to herself.
Good gym. Well stocked. Nice, contained space.
It passed her muster.
Standing, she put a towel around her neck.
Now, time to stop playing around and get to work.
