The research had been facinating. Really. So much so that she totally lost track of time. She squeaked in alarm when she realized how close she was cutting it. Great. First assignment from the Captain and boing, she was going to be late! She dashed to the briefing room, blinking at how quiet and empty it was. Whew. And ... wow. She looked around and felt this amazing sense of ... something. It made her heart swell. Here she was, on a starship, entrusted to get whatever her Captain might need, and he ... he had given her a real job.
A smile tugged at her, dimpling her cheek. Oh this was good. So good.
With a tug at her uniform, she got back to business. Using the computer, she called up the compiled report, making sure everything was straight forward and itemized.
The phrase 'eugenic wars' made her shudder slightly. But the whole Klingon part was facinating.
Everything in order, she rested her hand on the back of the Captains seat and imagined .............. what could it be like to have so much responsiblity? It wasn't for her, this she knew. But still ....

He walked into the briefing room and noticed the padds was in place. Good girl he thought, as he picked up one of the pads to read. The computer informed him he had a message waiting, he walked to a panel and access the message , he just shook his head after reading it and returned to the bridge.
